What do we do with your information?

When you install Oribi Writer or Oribi Writer EDU, you grant us access to the contents of the document that you are currently editing.

We need access to your current document in order to check its spelling. The text you wish to be checked gets sent over an encrypted connection (https) to one of our servers.

No text is stored on our servers and the only thing we log is the types of spelling mistakes our users make most frequently so that we can improve the functionality of our spellchecking engine.

You give us your consent by installing the app.

How do I withdraw my consent?

You withdraw your consent by uninstalling the app.

Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Storage

The app’s settings and documents are stored on your iPad. Only you have access to your saved information.
